Action, Moderation, Values and Process

Action, Moderation, Values and Process

Action: Energy

Action is the force we must embody to do anything. It comes from within, and it’s perpetual. It’s going somewhere, doing something, becoming something new. It’s what we do. It’s the opposite of doing nothing.

Moderation: The middle way

It’s that space between what we want and what we can’t have and a day of rest and enjoyment. It’s the marathon runner going at a pace that pushes forward enough to keep a steady pace, but not too much to avoid burnout. It’s peace of mind to know that you’ve done everything you could. It’s the opposite of crazy work hours.

Values: What’s most important

A personal attitude determined by standards and solidified by behavior. Values are what matters the most and all the deal-breakers at the same time. What makes us who we are under all circumstances. Values make up our perspective towards life when everything is well and when everything is fucked up. Values are personal and non-transferrable.

Process: The path

It’s how we think about things and how we approach them. It’s our unique way of understanding and working with things. It’s the decision to start at the top or the bottom. It’s adaptable, informs our behavior, and are the building blocks of our habits.

So why are these important?

As an artist, they represent the sequence of events needed to create something new and meaningful. The energy to get started, the wisdom of a steady and healthy pace, the personal aspects that make us who we are, and the steps required to get it done.

My artistic journey has improved a lot since I took notice of these, and I hope they help you as much as they have helped me.

Cheers, and thank you for stopping by! 😘
